Mishpatim this week, are called the days of Shovevim, an acronym made from the names of the weekly portions in this period of the year. It is a time set aside for introspection and renewal of the commitments we made in the beginning of the year. Some even fast every Monday and Thursday of these weeks.

Here in Bnei David there was a special meeting of all the programs at Bnei David until the title "Those Who Dare during Shovevim". The conference was organized by the students themselves in conjunction with an organization called The Daring in Holiness. This organization was established by youth throughout Israel last year. Its goal is to raise the awareness of the moral and spiritual dangers that are in the media, the internet and especially the new media of smartphones. The organization seeks to enhance purity and holiness in Am Yisrael also through suggesting technical solutions and methods of filtering immoral and unfit content in computers and smartphones.

Three hundred students participated and listened to lectures on purity and modesty given by the head of Bnei David Harav Eli Sadan, and by Harav Chaggai London and Harav Yehoshua Shapira the Rosh Yeshiva of Ramat Gan Yeshiva.
